Costas Iordanidis

Costas Iordanidis is a journalist and a political and diplomatic commentator for Kathimerini, a Greek daily newspaper based in Athens.

He was a founding member of the Greek Institute for Foreign and Defence Policy (ELIAMEP) and was a member of working groups formed by the United States–based Carnegie Foundation and Royal United Services RUSI (UK) for the improvement of Greek-Turkish relations.

He has received awards for articles contributing to the improvement of Greek-Turkish relations in 1980, in 1990 for reporting on Greek foreign policy and in 2006 he received the Helen Vlachou award from the German Embassy in Athens for his work reporting on EU developments.

Mr Iordanidis lives in Athens.
